In Partnership with the National Alliance of School Premises Management (NASPM), Estates Management in Schools will discuss the pertinent topics affecting schools including, legal compliance and safe systems of work and the challenges of being a duty holder. 

In addition, we turn attention to the problem that older school premises are tackling; that of damp and mould in buildings. At a time when the damaging effects of damp and mould are often reserved for social housing, the signs of damp conditions are now being spotted and reported in schools. So, what should your school be looking for; how can the problem be handled quickly and effectively and just as importantly, how should damp and mould treatment and prevention be integrated into a school’s estates management plan?
