Playground Premises Management

The aim of this course is to enable participants manage and maintain safe playgrounds within the school.

At the end of this course, participants will be able to state the regulations and standards governing playground design and maintenance, explain safety measures that can be taken on the playground, explain how to select and maintain playground equipment, define the role of supervision and rules, develop skills for budgeting, securing funding and resource allocation for playground maintenance and upgrades and prepare for emergency situations on playground such as first aid.

On completion of this course school staff will be aware of the legal requirements of managing playgrounds and be able to develop local school play management.
