This course is based on The Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992. It also integrates advice from the guidance document Working with display screen equipment (DSE) INDG 36(rev4)
At the end of this course. Participants will be able to explain the meaning of DSE assessments, state regulations governing DSE, assess and optimize the ergonomic design of workstations, identify common health and safety risks, explain the ergonomic principles relating to posture, monitor placement, lighting etc., be able to evaluate workstations and recommend adjustments, be able to engage with staff to gather information on issues related to their workstation, conduct individual workstation assessments, educate staff on proper DSE use and maintain accurate records of assessments and reports.
